who is malik radford?

Born and raised in Richmond, VA, Malik Radford is an artist and storyteller who bridges the worlds of illustration, animation, and experimental media. After earning dual degrees in Communication Arts and Kinetic Imaging from VCUarts in 2019, Malik has garnered a various roles as a multimedia specialist, concept designer, illustrator, and animator.

His work has appeared in a multitude of galleries and venues since 2011, and his creative collaborations stretch across genres—from musicians & visual artists to local businesses and community arts programs. Teaching has also been an important part of his practice, having led graphic design and art courses for all ages in Virginia and the Washington, DC metro area.

Malik has contributed to studio productions as well, including developmental design work with Bento Box Entertainment and several independent creative teams. Malik continues his work, steadily building his skills and portfolio.
